On-Site & Online Talk | Member Appreciation Days
Lights, camera, Albert!
Dr. Albert C. Barnes was no stranger to the spotlight. His art collection and his big personality often attracted attention from the press. His status also caught the eye of Hollywood celebrities. Our new online archival exhibition, From Merion to MGM: The Barnes-Hollywood Connection, explores Dr. Barnes’s relationships with actors, directors, and other figures of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Assistant archivist Rob Jagiela will share more about the exhibition, including stories of Barnes’s friendships with actor Charles Laughton and director Jean Renoir, and visits to the foundation from the likes of Greta Garbo, Vincent Price, and more.
Online registrants will be emailed a link for the tour the day prior.
