Members are invited to an exclusive tour of Cecily Brown: Themes and Variations. The exhibition presents more than 30 paintings and related drawings that showcase Cecily Brown’s subversion of gendered tropes in art history and popular culture. Learn how she reclaimed the heroic gestural expression associated with an earlier generation of male artists—a style largely out of favor with her peers—to create lush, dynamic, and often erotic paintings.
