About the Talk

We are pleased to present this captivating talk featuring Deborah Willis, coauthor of Kamala: Her Historic, Joyful, and Auspicious Sprint to the White House, in conversation with journalist Dyana Williams. This program is presented in partnership with the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection at Temple University.

Kamala is a tribute to Harris’s remarkable rise from district attorney in California to her historic presidential run in 2024. Coauthored by Willis and Kevin Merida, the book features nearly 150 vibrant photographs that capture the joy, challenges, and triumphs of Harris’s campaign. Visitors can purchase a copy of the book at the Barnes Shop, located on the lower level.

The talk will be held in the Comcast NBCUniversal Auditorium and includes access to the Barnes collection and Cecily Brown: Themes and Variations.
