About the Tour
This one-hour tour provides an up-close look at All About Love and a selection of Mickalene Thomas’s key works from the past two decades. Trace her exploration of Black female identity, which she articulates through visually rich and compelling paintings, collage, photography, video, and installations. Learn more about Thomas’s references, which span popular culture and the history of painting, and experience her use of striking patterns and colors, glittering surface ornamentation, and alluring rhythms.
This tour is a private one-hour experience for you and up to seven guests. Tours are available Thursdays at 10am, 11am, and 3pm, and Friday–Monday at 10am, 11am, and 2pm; reservations are required.
