About the Event

It’s time to shine! Get ready to mix and mingle with the emerging creatives and young professionals who fuel Philly’s vibrant cultural scene. Whether you’re looking to explore our galleries, network with fellow art lovers, or dance the night away, #BarnesYP All About Love is the place to be. Tonight’s theme honors our latest special exhibition, Mickalene Thomas: All About Love. See 40-plus works by the pioneering artist Mickalene Thomas, and experience her dynamic vision of beauty, love, desire, and community.

Take cues from Thomas’s art and step out in style in fabulous ’70s- and ’80s-inspired outfits. Embrace bold prints, vibrant colors, and vintage finds—or dare to dazzle with your favorite sparkling jewels and accessories. Dance to the sounds of DJ Val Fleury as she lights up the night with energetic house and techno with her signature global flair.

In the spirit of giving back, we’re inviting YP guests to bring new or gently used accessories or clothing to donate to The Wardrobe, whose goal is to eliminate clothing insecurity by outfitting people for life or work.

We’ll set the scene with art, style, light bites, and sparkling sips—all we need is you!

Young Professionals Night is hosted by the Contemporaries.
